Connections
I have made many connections during the semester with websites, classes, and text. For example, I have learned to operate and work with websites for doing homework. I connected to them by blogging. I never used the web to write narratives or personal opinions for reflection before my English class. Now, I learned how to connect digital pictures by writing and relating them to each other. The second connection that I have made was with people in college for classes. I have learned how to connect with people when studying for chemistry. I started to do more group work and studying in order to get a good grade. Finally, I started connecting information that we learned in class to real life. In my English class, we learned about different rhetoric devises that people and media used to persuade an audience. This made me figure out some of the rhetoric devises that a girl used in my Biology class. For example, she was telling the class about a trip and used words and sentences that connected to students to persuade them to join in. She used words such as beautiful scenery, fun hiking, wild adventures, and meeting new people in different countries. These rhetoric devises that I learned me connect to these messages that were being delivered.
Goals:
As a writer, I still consider myself better than before. My writing has changed since the beginning of the semester from good to excellent based on learning from the feedback that I received from my teacher and peers. The writing goals that I set to myself is being able to write faster and creating topics that would attract the reader’s attention. I plan to achieve them by writing more blog posts and writing in my daybook often. I also plan to help by correcting other student’s papers, so I can learn some mistakes that a common writer commits. I plan to take these mistakes and learn to not fall for them. My new goals in the future consist of writing and blogging more often. I plan to read more articles and improve my writing skills.
